Hello KyAEA Members, the theme “Art Teacher ology” is a time to reflect back on things that made art room experiences great from years past. Does anyone remember using library paste to glue things? Some may have stories of a “Visiting Art Teacher” that came to their school for so many days out of the year to do crafts with the students that may have been in a remote location.
One of my earliest memories is the snow globe and glitter made from baby food jars. A rite of passage of course was the macaroni necklace for many of us. Are paper bag puppets out of vogue forever? Good lesson planning can revive many projects from years past or combined with a modern twist. All ranges of workshops dealing from the past to modern now will certainly be considered. Modern style workshops, computer technology and current issues for discussion are welcomed. A range of workshops that will show where we came from to where we are now would be a wonderful experience for all. Dig out some ideas!! Please feel free to email me with any questions. It is exciting to be part of such a wonderful group!!!!
