2010 Presentation Proposals
Hello KyAEA members!  Attached is the 2010 conference registration form and membership application.  A new exciting change has been implemented that we wanted to remind you about.  During the 2009 conference it was announced that we would be affiliated with the National Arts Education Association (NAEA) this coming fall.  This change has been noted in the membership application.  If you are not already familiar with the wonderful resources available with membership in our national association then you are in for a big surprise.  You can check out the NAEA on their official website

Also, our conference registration form has changed to make it easier to get registered.  Please choose one of the options listed, fill out your personal info and return to Valerie Trapp with payment at the address provided.

Although a majority of our sessions and workshops are free, there are some that use numerous supplies which will require a small fee. Workshop fees will be collected on site at the workshop you are attending by the presenter.  This will hopefully alleviate concerns that were addressed in the past about workshops being over cap and paid attendees not being able to participate effectively, will help with supply dispersal, and lighten the line at registration/check in.  Paid Workshops will be on a first come basis until the cap determined by the presenter is met and then admittance to that workshop will be closed.  Checks and cash will be made to the presenter and not KyAEA and will cover the cost of materials used.  This is new to the conference but we feel will help to make your conference experience more enjoyable.

And on a final note, I am so pumped up about this conference.  A lot of people have jumped in to help and things are going along at a great pace.  One way to insure success is to get our membership growing.  Please take a moment and invite an art educator to the conference.  Our goal is 300 registered participants.  We look forward to seeing you at Western Ky University.
